text: In the afternoon I completed the list of inhabitants of the Angban with the help of four gaonburas. There are several households there where the people had come from Chi with Chinkak's father. Three of them live on Bala territory which had been taken away from the Bala at the time of its destruction. Some of the people from the small Ang clan of Chi have married women from Wakching's Nokanokphong and Angnokphong. Wenkai is a strange case. He is a Niemlim man from Shiong who came to Wakching as a 'slave' of the Ang of Chi, but now is considered to be a member of the Angnokphong clan. However he does not eat with the Ang but with the Ben people.
