text: Unfortunately Kauffmann was not feeling well and in addition he suffered from prickly heat which made his body look parboiled. The Ang received us in front of the village but he was by himself as due to a misunderstanding we had not been expected and everyone was in the fields. As we passed the funerary platforms everyone held their noses as on one platform there was the still fresh body of a woman surrounded by flies.
