During this conversation I found out some interesting matters about the agriculture of several villages in the unadministered area. (40) In Chen, Sheangha, Longwa and others, rice is not cast out for planting but the seeds are put into holes like taro tubers. On the whole not much rice is planted, only on the old fields. The main staple is millet, taro and job's tears. In addition they grow a creeper plant with fruits the size of a nut which tastes like taro. |
