text: The Ang served rice and taro porridge to the gaonburas and to some other men who had come together for our arrival. Two each sat on both sides of a banana leaf on which rice and taro were piled up. They stuffed whole hands full of rice into their mouths and finished a huge pile which I could not have eaten in a whole day.
