text: Yesterday Metzou mentioned that his daughter went weeding together with her gang and two Oukheang boys. Today Meniu, Shankok's younger sister's gang is working on one of Shankok's fields towards Chingtang. Two Angban boys went with the girls. These will be well fed during the day by Shankok but otherwise receive no payment. In addition there are eleven older poor women who work his fields. For three days labour these receive a mu-dho basket (see Notebook 12 p. 56) of unhusked rice.
