text: The force of the storm increased more and more. My tent was shaking and swaying and still lying in bed I grabbed one post to counteract at least the worst impacts. Even if the tent were to be blown down not much could have happened to me (122) although it cannot be anything but unpleasant to get the heavy ridge pole onto one's head. Quite worrying was the tree, the branches of which were reaching over my tent and which furthermore on the mountain slope is in the position where it would certainly have fallen onto the tent if the wind uprooted it. The ditch around the tent had not stopped the water which was pouring out of the sky from gushing in and covering the whole floor.
