ceremonies following the killing of a tiger |
text: |
Found out some new things about the ceremonies following the killing of a tiger. (See Notebook 14 p. 170 following). Apparently people are a bit afraid about the revenge of the tiger's relatives so that the name of the man who killed it is never mentioned. He tries to mislead the other tigers by changing his clothes and in the dancing chant it is said, "Who has killed the tiger"? "The people of Mon, the people of Mon", that is not someone from Wakching. |
