a slave boy and a slave girl hacked to pieces |

Yesterday I heard about a slave boy from Phem (Mongnyu) who the Oukheang had bought from Chongwe and had then killed (See Notebook 14 p. 163). Now Yongang has mentioned full of pride that the Thepong too had once bought a slave, a little girl who also had come from Phem and was in the possession of Choha. It was so small that it had to be carried to the river where the people from Wakching were waiting and completely hacked her to pieces. Yongang received a leg. He said that with the same expression as he would speak of his part of a pig. Yongang would also like to kill one of my cats because they are "of the tiger clan" and his name would become important if he could claim to have killed a tiger. Age and size of the tiger seem to be irrelevant. |
