When the skull of a dead person is taken from the platforms, this is also done by the Doalim (not Niemling) oldest man. He also gets half of the pig in this case. The oldest man of Doalim takes off the skull from the platform, and hands it to the oldest man of the deceased's clan. This clan (47) eldest removes the worst off the skull, then gives it to the dead person's family, to complete the cleaning. Then they kill a pig, and cook a piece from every part of the pig (of heart, liver, spleen, meat etc.) and feed the skull saying: "This pig has been killed for you". The oldest man of the clan puts the skull into the pot. All this is done at the burial place. |
