In the old times the four morungs (except the Bala which was driven away) cultivated one field each for the Ang. At first Chinkak worked also in the fields, but he hurt his eye once and since that time he doesn't go to the fields any more. Now all the five morungs cultivate one field for the Ang together. |

The Balang cuts the jungle, Ang-ban sows the rice (the Ang himself provides the seed). Bala does the first weeding, Thephong the second weeding. Aukheang cuts the rice and carries it home. (22) The Ang provides the food. Even now the morungs would cultivate one field each but he cannot afford the feeding of the labourers as he had to spend (sic) a lot of rice and one pig each day. |

At Ou-ling-bu and Ou-nie-bu all people who kill animals give one piece of meat to the Ang. One man of the Bala morung collects this meat for him. It is Chingyan who came with the Ang's father. At other times he gets only of animals killed by morungs, one hind leg. |

There are four houses (23) in the Bala morung, five (including the Ang's) in the Ang-ban, of people who came from Chui. |

When the Ang's father, Longmien, came from Chui, each of the morungs wanted that he stays with them. But at last it was decided that Pongyong shall be turned out of his house, and Longmien should stay on the old Ang site. It was above all Shouba's father who called Longmien. |
