text: (121) On the second day of the Bangmoba all the young men of the morung sit down in one row in the front hall, each of them holding two big leaves (lai-mei). Then the oldest man of a particular clan (the Ghiyanghu in the Moniubang) goes from one man to the other and breaks each of the leaves twice and says: [konyak]. (122) If the leaves fold without breaking it is a good sign, if it breaks the young man will not live long.
