ritual after rice harvest |
text: |
(18) Laong-bu is held in October after rice harvest. It lasts one day. On the Ang's fields a little rice has been left un-cut. This is cut and brought to the village by the Wang-shem-ben-ba, a man of Long-mong-shim clan, who is the genna maker of the Ang. He makes gennas for the Ang, for instance he kills the chickens in front of the Ang's field house at harvest time. When the Wang-shem-ben-ba dies his son takes over his office. He is not paid for his services. |
