The Wakching men came from Yengyudang (Piankong) - also, now-a-days Konyaks live there. (Yengyu-dang = Kalahong). The Assam valley is called Moroshong. From Yengyudang they went to Mohung, a village between Chongwe & Choha. Then they went to Hau-ching, from there to Angphang, from there to Choha, from there to Nganching, from there to Chinglong. From Chinglong they came to Wakniu-dzing, a site between Wakching and Wanching, and built a village. Later on they split off. Some people went to (50) Wakching, others to Wanching. |

The Wakching men came from Moroshong on the Buang-lem path, which leads from Wakching to Dikhu. They say they came from the Ao land, went to Moroshong and from there came again into the hills. |
