Pongyong, the Ang's, father Dzemang was not Ang of Wakching, but of Tanyeang. But his ancestors lived in Wakching. When Tanyeang was destroyed by Mon, Dzemang went to Tanhai. His Ang wife died and he married a young widow of a Tanhai man who had come from Wakching (Yanahu, Aukheang). Dzawang, Dzemang's elder brother's son, was the Ang of Wakching. When he died without a male heir, Dzemang's son, Pongyong, was called from (91) Tanhai and made Ang of Wakching. Dzemang himself had already died by that time. |
