1 morung Lishamlin (sowing) - January-February Hashelin (rice sowing) - Feb. - March Thapanglin (field house) - March-April Mouirlin (Mouir feast = Lianghali of Wakching) Longshilin (insects = Pongyongpongli of W.) Momieklin (fortune call = Lia of W.) Bhungdzaklin (crops fetch cook) Nekyongrhamlim (rice stone) Shingyu shingtangyalin (leaves threshing floor) Harhetlin (rice cut = harvest moon) Lirhemlin (seed) Liwoklin (omen with chicken) - the month in which the omen for the place of the new fields are taken. Shamrhelim - house building month. All the houses and the morungs are rebuilt and eventually a drum made in this month. Bhangmolin - a great genna for the crops. Leudzimlin - the old men come together and decide about the place for the new fields. Lishamlin. |
