Hamliem remembers the peace-making between Chi and Wakching. At the time of his father Wakching and Chi were at war, but when he was a boy they made peace. They came together at the river below Shiong. Wakching brought one pig and the Chi Ang brought one pig which they eat on the spot. They arranged that the Chi men might go through Wakching land to the plains. This treaty was only made by the Aukheang men. They (108) also divided up the small villages under their influence. |

Though Wakching was always friendly with Mon, the Aukheang men once also arranged a meeting with the Ang of Mon at Longkhai which is the "son" of both. Each brought a pig and they talked over things and problems arising from their influence in the same village. |
