We were travelling in two jeeps, one sent from Haflong and one - an UNICEF vehicle (obviously meant for other purposes) - had been obtained by S.D. Lahkar. As the road to Haflong is very lonely, with hardly any traffic it is considered unsafe to travel in one vehicle. For in the case of a breakdown no help can be summoned.
