text: In front of one of the morungs are two crossed posts with the fresh head of a buffalo and a cow or bull. Three days ago there was a festival to initiate the rice-harvest and a buffalo was sacrificed. The village-priest himself killed the animal with a spear.
text: It is maddening to think that I was then already in Laisong without knowing about it. Everybody had (43) said that during the rains there are no feasts or rituals.
