Unexpectedly I am back in Haflong, and the projected tour to Guilong was abandoned. Not through my fault. - We started at 7.30 am in good weather with six porters. The path led through the Christian village of Laisong, and then up and down along the slopes, partly through jhums and partly through high moist forests. Many small streams and rivulets crossed the path, and in one I slipped and fell backwards into the water. This hardly mattered for it was so hot, that I was soaked in sweat. |
