text: Through the rice fields and small villages we moved past Simalaguri and then to Naginamara. There we came to a tank where a crowd of men were fishing. - They appeared different from plains people and turned out to be Konyaks - still recognizable by their blackened teeth and hair-cut. They have long been in the plains and do not speak Konyak any longer.
