text: The morning was lovely and I took my fill of the gorgeous view from the bungalow, a view I enjoyed so often in many different lights and moods.
text: Several of my friends came to say goodbye, among them Ngamang, one of the two little boys who in 1936 were my frequent companions. My Assamese has come back sufficiently to make very simple conversation, and I understand the Konyaks quite well.
