A rest-house on a raised stone-built platform indicated that we were approaching the village. Soon we entered high forest, and next came to some grave-houses. Side by side was a Christian grave with an inscription half in English on a stone slab and an old style grave-house with the figures of two warriors inside, and outside a wooden post carved in the shape of a human head, and a decorated spear stuck onto the post.
