text: Buffaloes or mithan are sacrificed on the death of a big man. The sacrifice is made immediately. The idea if that the dead man can take the animal with him. When an old adult man dies, one spear, one dao, one knife, a new cloth and food are placed into the grave. Ornaments are not given. For a young man all the cloths he has put on and his ornaments are placed into the grave in addition to the above. For a woman, a cloth, ornaments, a basket and a loom and other weaving implements, and eggs are placed in the grave. Both new or worn cloths are given. Same for a young girl. All the belongings of the child are buried with him or her. Nothing is done for the benefit of the soul once a person is buried. Hkakngi - driving away of ghosts.
