text: The Ang still receives tribute from other villages as before. There are no more old style yo (girls' dormitories) in Wanching, only in private houses. The boys' initiation (entry into morung) is still celebrated with puja. The non-Christians are in a majority. Pujas are still being performed. The dead are no longer exposed on platforms but buried in the earth. The population is about 1100.
