I had a complaint here against Sakhalu who had collared the betrothed of a man who had gone to France. He has had about 17 wives already and might have left this girl alone. He swore that he had made an arrangement first which, after sundry attempts to botch the case, was proved quite false. Apparently he is getting so intolerable that the village cannot stand him and is on the verge of revolt. The time is coming when it will be necessary to allow free migration. This would reduce Sakhalu to pulp in no time. |
