To Kohima by the Naga Path and through the Thenizuma jhum which had been reported very seriously damaged by the rain. It had suffered a good deal, but the crop that was not washed away is exceptionally good and they will get at least 2/3 of their normal jhum crop if not more. I gave exemption to the people whose fields were worse than most and who had no panikhets to fall back on.
