text: To the Dikhu Bridge. The old temporary bridge put up by Mr. Duguid for the Chinglong expedition in 1912 still does duty, in spite of having once been washed away bodily. The Sub-overseer however tells me that he cannot say when the Wakching end anchorage has last been inspected and he thinks not for a very long time. This ought to be done. I managed to get my pony, a little waler about 13.1, across the bridge, but am not sure whether I could have got my big pony over or not.
