text: | Halted at Lakema to dispose of a heavyish dak. It was fine in the morning for the first time for three days and nights, but came on to rain again in the afternoon. All this rain and wind is very bad for the crops, as the jhums are being harvested and the wet is spoiling it all, and the panikhets are in want of sun and in danger of being laid by the wind. |
