To TANGSA. This village was broken up by, I think, a YUNGYA, TOTOK, MON and CHUI combination about 1912, but rebuilt under the aegis of the Subdivisional Officer. The village was very friendly and not at all shy. |

From the village there is a good view of the country across the SHINIONG including HAOCHING and Chua - PHOM villages apparently - and the enormous village of CHEN, just visible. |

There is a good camping ground, below the little offshoot of TANGSA on the YACHAM side of the hill on which TANGSA stands, with plenty of good water. |

Captain Shakespear made the height of TANGSA 4200' and our camp there 3900-3950. |
