A more successful new Sema village, Hanimi; destruction of crops by elephants |
text: |
From Mohumi to Hanimi, another new (Sema) village on the site of an extinct one (Lhota, this time). The village has naturally had a lot of illness having migrated from a high site in the Tizu valley, but is doing fairly well and ought to be all right when acclimatized. It has had quite good crops, though the elephants spoilt a good deal. The village is lowish and right at the edge of the plains overlooking the junction of the Rengma and the Hani and west of the Bagtimukh path. |
