text: Halted Razama, and counted the village - not without much searching of heart - and of houses. There are three clans all mixed up which pay their revenue separately and the Gaonburas are sparing of truth. The village must be a very rich one. Nearly every house has house-horns and an elaborately carved front. The village paths are walled with stone on both sides and the village is full of stone sitting places,
text: Razama asked for a school. Normally I can open ten new ones yearly but this year economy has prevented it. I do not know whether the Director of Public Instruction will have funds for it next year or not. Razama is a big village and a proper one to have a school - if any village is. It was very cold at night and water in a puddle near my tent froze over.
