large numbers of applications for tax exemption at Kekrima |

To Kekrima. There is a double stone culvert between Tekhubama and Kekrima of which half is broken and a wooden substitute made. This was in the same condition last time I came by. I asked the Mahurrir why, and he says that the Gaonburas promised one month in which to do it and if they failed to find someone else. The same applies to the repair of the Inspection Bungalow compound fence at Kekrima. |

A large number of applications for exemption here. I do not know why this should be as the village was counted fairly recently. I promised them it should be counted this year. It is a rich village and the Gaonburas are all consumate liars. |

Tekhubama came through, all in their best clothes, on their way to Kohima. They danced round the compound and let off guns and then hurried on. |
