text: To the Thana where I held a kit inspection and looked at the well, said to be a success, and thence by trolley to Sibsagar Road. My mal, however, had not reached the station when the train came in, so I went on without it, getting tickets for myself and dog on credit as I had not even any cash with me. However, I found Mr. Best in the train and he kindly gave me lunch and I reached Dimapur in time to get dinner at the Inspection Bungalow. My mal and men came on by the other train and arrived at 4.0am.
text: The Dimapur Dak Bungalow needs (urgently) six pair of sheets, six pillow-cases, six mosquito nets and some jharons.
