text: I told the Town Overseer to try the pump well in the place where the P.W.D. had an experimental boring, as the place he tried before had stones in it which broke the driving point. Then to Nichuguard where I inspected the police post and spent most of the day writing. In the evening I went to bathe. The P.W.D. ruined the old bathing spot by diverting the stream, but a new one has formed which is even better, a very deep pool with very convenient rocks.
