text: To Ghaspani, having bathed again before breakfast. At this Bungalow I broke a milk jug. It was just as well, for in the externally invisible crannies of the interior was accumulated the filth of years. Fluted milk jugs of bizarre shape and ornamented in the rococo style are not suited to Inspection Bungalows. Glass would be better than china.
text: The Serai Chaukidar at Nichuguard is clamouring for repair to his house. He says that the P.W.D. used to do it. If so I see no reason why they should not go on doing it.
