Minor matters dealt with at Wokha |
text: |
To Wokha a very hot march gradually collecting a rabble of cases along the road, and a number of Gaonburas. Just outside Wokha I heard that Niroyu and Lungsachung were rounding up a leopard, but as it was from 4 to 7 miles away and I was very footsore and rather tired I did not go. |

At Wokha I gave out Kuki Operation medals, renewed gun licenses and started on the interminable cases that are always prepared to go on as long as an officer will stay to hear them. The flies are rather bad here. When warned the night before, coolies for Longsa etc. from Wokha can be changed at Kotsenyu and relieved by one of the three villages there. Some arrangement will be needed as to what village supplied when and it can be determined by the number of coolies required. |
