12/11/1926 To Dimapur where I disposed of a few minor matters and entrained for Nakachari by the mail. |

13/11/1926 Arrived at Nakachari about 4.30 a.m., marched to Charali whence we went on to Lakhuni, after breakfast. I noticed that the brick bridge between miles 44 and 43 is badly undercut at one corner. It ought to be repaired this cold weather. At the station there was some unclaimed tin and roofing from Jessop's consigned to self. The packing had broken and the material was lying unclaimed by the line. Possibly it has been ordered by the Sub Divisional Officer. |

The new cart road is open as far as Changchang-pani, but needs a good deal doing to it this cold weather. The jungle just in front of Lakhuni Inspection Bungalow needs cutting. Mats and dharis very badly needed for the wire beds in the Inspection Bungalow. |

All the people I met on the road spoke of good crops harvested under favourable condition. I gather that at this end of the district, anyhow, the harvest has been exceptionally good. |
