text: | To Tseminyu. Phesinyu, alias Sillyzuma, asked for a school on the ground of the congenital idiocy of their village. It is true they are fools but rather pleasant fools and very stout fools. On two occasions, to my knowledge, an elephant has been slain there with a single spear thrust. The one so killed, by the Gaonbura in self defence, this year went for about a quarter of a mile after being speared and dropped dead. |
