To Mechangbung - a hot march, and the road near the Inspection Bungalow destroyed by buffalo. It will have to be paved, but probably something could be done by making Mechangbung keep a cowherd and pen their buffalo at night. The bridge seems in order and is quite adequate to the traffic it will have to carry, the abutment on the Henima side needs to be built up with rough stone sloped from the top of the low wall to the edge of the foot way. Otherwise a high flood will be liable to carry off the whole and destroy the bridge. |

The miles between Henima and the district boundary must be renumbered. This can be done on the backs of the present mile- stones, which can be turned round. The miles should run from Kohima to the district boundary direct excluding the Henima Inspection Bungalow approach road. |
