text: Halted Mechangbung. Sheivum of Jolpi asked me to get news of his brother Sheicha in the Khasi and Jaintia Hills police. He says he has written repeatedly and can get no answer.
text: I went and selected a site for the proposed new Inspection Bungalow. The bridle path is destroyed with buffaloes. I ordered Mechangbung to arrange for a cow-herd. Buffaloes are not like mithan and can easily be herded and kept off the path. Failing success the village will have to pave a long stretch of path, the bad condition of which is quite un-necessary and avoidable.
