Henima ordered to keep a cowherd; repairs needed to bungalow kitchen |

Sub Divisional Officer, Tamenglong arrived. Cases heard. |

Halted Henima. More interdistrict cases. There is trouble here about the keeping of a cattle herd. The mithan and cow owners say that he will have one, and the buffalo owners another. Both parties have been warned that the fine for not keeping a cowherd (whether damage is done or not) is Rs.50/-. |

The kitchen to the Inspection Bungalow is in bad order, and the fire-place is so arranged that the draught blows the smoke straight into the room. The sink can stay where it is, but at any rate the fire-place must be moved across to the opposite wall. This should be very easy and should cost very little, as it is merely a matter of taking down and putting up again the solid masonry. |

The Chaukidar, Widaobo, complains of the lowness of his pay. I will look into it at Kohima. |
