text: To Pedi in the rain. On the way I inspected the new path that is being made to avoid the zigzag up the big cliff. The new path is being blasted out of hard rock and will take some time to finish and cost a good deal, but most of it ought to be permanent, whereas the old road was forever disappearing down the khud, and at present is non-existent.
