text: To Lakema, after dealing with a more or less perennial land dispute between Chama and Raluma. On the way I visited Ridima and reassessed it. In the afternoon renewed gun licenses, heard complaints etc.

text: Halted Lakema. Went up to the village, where I gave a few remissions. In the afternoon a dak came in. Fewer cases here than usual. I saw a shield here made of corrugated iron and used for the shikar of dangerous animals.
