text: To Khizabama. Chizami came in to meet me on the way to ask for a mile of bridle path to be allotted to them, saying that it was promised last year. The road through Nholumi will have to be paved for a few yards. The pigs and cattle have destroyed it. Tahemo of Khizabama complained that he had never yet got his medal for his part in the Kuki war, though many less worthy had had theirs. The chaukidar applied for a rise of pay.
