text: |
To Chentang. I settled the future of the five slaves surrendered at Chingmei. The woman's mother was killed in the raid on Saochu and her father died a few days ago; she has elected to stay with Chingmak. The youth is going back to his relations. The little Kejuk girl has a grandfather in Chingmei and will remain with him. Pangting's son (Saochu) is going back to his father. The other little Saochu boy has no relations left alive as far as is known and is being adopted by a childless dobashi in Mokokchung. |
