Crossing the Sijju I saw the Nepalies' buffaloes wandering unattended on the kher grass land of Khozama. I fined the goalas Rs. 15/-. Hutton is said to have allowed the Nagas to shoot a young buffalo and a very good plan too. Local inspection of a land case. Reached Kekrima in spite of Khazama coolies not arriving till nearly mid-day. Fined village Rs. 50/-. Kekrima complains of having to do double marches to Kohima or Khezabama missing Tekhubama. There is to be a double march to Khezabama only if more than 20 men are needed. Tekhubama is to be warned over-right by Kekrima. Injevi came in with Nikiye and the Tukomis, which saves me a journey to Melomi. Spent all the afternoon hearing them. |

Takiye trans-frontier came in to complain that Sataho threaten to cultivate over the boundary fixed by Mr. Hutton in his Tour Diary of November 1917 and which they have an extract. There have been two political cases about it and Satuho got fined in the Second and 100 punishment coolies by Mr. Barnes. Injevi says the real reason is a discrepancy in Mr. Barnes' boundary in the first case and Mr. Huttons' in the second case. This must wait for a Melomi tour. |
