text: Counted Puloma and heard some disputes. Thence to Kwoma and then to Losama a long way and very steep going. I passed a spot where a traveller of Seni was caught between jungle fires and burned. The grave of Mohimi of Losama is near the road and has 76 heads carved on it, as he took half that number, mostly Tanghul heads in pre-British days. The Puloma coolies refused to stop in Losama for the night, too many memories of heads taken in the old days.
