text: To Piphima. Kevoma reports elephants on their land frightening men and damaging. I suspect exaggeration and send Zeppelhu. I counted Piphima. Three houses of relatives of the man who shot his brother by accident have had by custom to desert the village. There are several old accident cases from road work which shows the usefulness of the P.W.D. dispensary. Nothing will induce bad cases to come to Kohima. The S.A.S. needs a compounder as he has to go over such long distances.
