Marched 8 o'clock. No headman to see us off. Lumbui blase about travellers. Stopped by two (27) parties of villagers. One stop of 40 minutes, where I got several pictures

Went down to bridge after dinner; marvellous full moon, light as day. Went to bed early; all very sleepy, servants dog-tired.
