text: (3) Ukhrul, March 11th 12 miles
text: Arrived about 1. to alarm of all inhabitants, and camped in dak bungalow. Called on Dunc. in evening and arranged route. Arrived neck and neck with Ukhrul dispensary stores.

text: Halted. Coolies more or less arranged for. Some mess over them, as to whether they are to be permanent or only to Nungbi. Asked for boy who was with us last time. Went down to Duncs. again in p.m.
text: Gentleman turned up wanting to do lumbu & bearer work; was doubtful, but took his name.
text: Subadar-Major sent haunch of venison and vegetables.
